This year, LAPA's third Theatre Retreat focuses on three aspects of theatre in the form of intensive Labs. The three aspects are theatrical Writing (Writing Lab consisting of a playwriting course), Scenography (Scenography Lab consisting of three courses on Stage design, Costume design, and SFX Makeup), and Acting (Actors' Lab consisting of six courses on the body, the voice, the space, text approach and many other elements).
About the Scholarship
LAPA is pleased to announce a unique scholarship in Theatre. Winners will receive intensive theoretical and practical training, extending for 12 months, in various theatrical elements at the hands of Arab and international academics and theatrical artists. Winners will also have the opportunity to participate in theatrical works and in professional training courses inside and outside Kuwait.
LAPA's scholarship is a Partial Scholarship: One lab of the winner's choice:
1- Writing Lab
2- Scenography Lab
3- Acting Lab

Conditions:
Age: 17+
Kuwaiti or a resident of Kuwait, and who is able to commit for the whole period of the scholarship
Kuwaiti or a resident of Kuwait, and does not mind living and training abroad (if accepted in one of the training programs outside Kuwait)
Fluent in English, in order to understand theatrical terms, and to avoid difficulty in the workshops conducted by foreign instructors. (Some instructors are American and Italian, so their workshops are conducted fully in English)
